Job Description

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a waste management contractor in Tzaneen. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Tzaneen. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading

Must-haves

At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Friendly and professional with customers
Clean driving record
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Honest with cash and customer goods

Nice if you have

Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Speaking local languages on township routes
Code 14 licence (a step up)
