Code 10 Driver (Frozen Foods Route)

You'll run local delivery routes around Bloemfontein for a beverage wholesaler, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a beverage wholesaler in Bloemfontein. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
• Check the load against invoices before signing it out
• Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
• Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
• Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops

• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• Valid PrDP for goods (G)

• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Delivery incentive per completed route

• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
