Job Description

Home every night: a beverage wholesaler in Randburg needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a beverage wholesaler on the Randburg side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away

Must-haves

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Honest with cash and customer goods
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks

Nice if you have

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
