Job Description

Customers across Durban Central wait on your truck, so a frozen food distributor needs someone reliable behind the wheel. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Durban Central. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Keep empties and returns separate for credit

You'll need

Honest with cash and customer goods
Clean driving record
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Friendly and professional with customers
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks

Extra points for

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Code 14 licence (a step up)
