Job Description

Customers across Mahikeng wait on your truck, so a building-supplies merchant needs someone reliable behind the wheel. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a building-supplies merchant on the Mahikeng side of North West. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

The work, day to day

Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly

Must-haves

Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Honest with cash and customer goods

Nice if you have

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
