Job Description

You'll move heavy loads between Rosslyn and depots across the country for a cross-border transport company. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Rosslyn-based, with most of your time spent at a cross-border transport company.

What you'll actually do

Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips

What you need

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Clean criminal record

Nice if you have

Dangerous goods training certificate
Clean record on a telematics driving score
Defensive driving course
