Job Description

The road is your office with a coal haulage contractor based in Benoni, and the load gets there because of you. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Benoni. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date

Must-haves

Medically fit, including eyesight
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Clean criminal record
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

Helpful, not essential

Clean record on a telematics driving score
Dangerous goods training certificate
