Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a cold-chain logistics fleet in Soweto is hiring. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Soweto, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot

You'll need

Passport for cross-border routes
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Clean criminal record
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
