Code 14 Driver (Regional Night Runs) – Permanent

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a cross-border transport company in Springs is hiring. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The site is in Springs; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
• Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
• Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
• Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
• Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
• Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
• Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date

• Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
• At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
• Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
• Passport for cross-border routes

• Monthly safe-driving and fuel-saving bonus

• Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips

• List the trailer types and routes you have done, for example "tautliner, JHB to Durban, 4 years".
• Be honest about accidents or fines. Companies check your driving record anyway and trust drivers who tell them upfront.
