Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a cold-chain logistics fleet in Ballito is hiring. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Ballito (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date

Must-haves

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Clean criminal record
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Medically fit, including eyesight

Extra points for

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Knowledge of SADC border routes
Defensive driving course
