Code 14 Interlink Driver (Cross-Border) – Permanent

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a fuel distribution fleet in Centurion pays for. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at a fuel distribution fleet. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
• Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
• Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
• Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
• Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
• Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks

• Clean driving record with no serious accidents
• Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
• Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
• Medically fit, including eyesight
• Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

• Knowledge of SADC border routes
• Dangerous goods training certificate

• Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips
• Paid PrDP renewal
• Provident fund and medical aid option
• Well-maintained trucks with sleeper cabs

• Be honest about accidents or fines. Companies check your driving record anyway and trust drivers who tell them upfront.
• Expect a driving test with a real truck. Arrive rested and do your pre-trip check out loud so the assessor sees it.
