Job Description

The road is your office with a cold-chain logistics fleet based in Johannesburg CBD, and the load gets there because of you. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Johannesburg CBD, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately

Must-haves

Medically fit, including eyesight
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Passport for cross-border routes
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
