Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a long-haul freight fleet in Ermelo pays for. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Ermelo (Mpumalanga). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks

What you need

Passport for cross-border routes
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

Helpful, not essential

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Defensive driving course
