Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a coal haulage contractor in East London is hiring. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The work, day to day

Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips

Must-haves

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Passport for cross-border routes
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
