Job Description

The road is your office with a cold-chain logistics fleet based in Roodepoort, and the load gets there because of you. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Roodepoort-based, with most of your time spent at a cold-chain logistics fleet.

What your day looks like

Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts

Must-haves

Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Passport for cross-border routes
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Clean criminal record

Nice if you have

Dangerous goods training certificate
Clean record on a telematics driving score
Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
