Job Description

The road is your office with a long-haul freight fleet based in Sandton, and the load gets there because of you. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Sandton. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What you'll actually do

Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped

Must-haves

Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
