Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a long-haul freight fleet in Middelburg (MP) is hiring. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a long-haul freight fleet in Middelburg (MP). Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips

You'll need

Medically fit, including eyesight
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean criminal record
Clean driving record with no serious accidents

Nice if you have

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Dangerous goods training certificate
Clean record on a telematics driving score
