Job Description

The road is your office with a cross-border transport company based in Sandton, and the load gets there because of you. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Sandton. Relocation is not covered for this one.

The work, day to day

Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped

You'll need

Clean criminal record
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
