Job Description

You'll move heavy loads between Secunda and depots across the country for a coal haulage contractor. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a coal haulage contractor on the Secunda side of Mpumalanga. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks

Must-haves

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Passport for cross-border routes
Medically fit, including eyesight
