Job Description

You'll zip parcels, spares or documents around Bloemfontein for a courier depot, all day, all over town. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Bloemfontein-based, with most of your time spent at a courier depot. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Phone customers when the address is hard to find
Collect spares and parts from suppliers and bring them to the workshop
Return undelivered parcels to the depot with a reason code
Load parcels in route order from the depot scanning area
Deliver chronic medication to patients' homes and confirm ID
Keep your vehicle or bike clean and report faults
Fill up the vehicle and keep fuel slips for the logbook

You'll need

Smartphone and comfortable using delivery apps
Able to work Saturdays
Good sense of direction and map reading
Valid Code 8 (B) licence, or A licence for motorbike roles

Extra points for

Previous courier or last-mile experience
Knowledge of the city's industrial areas
PrDP for staff shuttle posts
