Code 8 Driver (Staff Shuttle)

Every parcel scanned, every drop confirmed: that is the job at a courier depot in Pinetown. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Location: Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Return undelivered parcels to the depot with a reason code
• Collect spares and parts from suppliers and bring them to the workshop
• Keep your vehicle or bike clean and report faults
• Fill up the vehicle and keep fuel slips for the logbook
• Phone customers when the address is hard to find
• Load parcels in route order from the depot scanning area
• Bank cheques, post documents and run office errands

• Clean driving record and no criminal record
• Valid Code 8 (B) licence, or A licence for motorbike roles
• Good sense of direction and map reading
• Polite with customers at the door
• At least 1 year of driving experience
• Able to work Saturdays

• Company van, bakkie or scooter provided
• Fuel card for work trips
• Per-drop incentive on busy days
• Branded uniform and rain gear

• If you have a clean driving record, write "no accidents, no traffic fines" plainly. It is what recruiters look for.
• Say you have a smartphone and know delivery apps. Most courier jobs now run through an app and training time is short.
