Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this municipal accounts office in Polokwane and your commission shows it. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a municipal accounts office on the Polokwane side of Limpopo.

What you'll actually do

Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.
Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.
Negotiate payment arrangements and set up DebiCheck mandates.
Report daily on rands collected, contacts made and arrangements set.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.

What you need

Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre
Matric
