Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this debt collection agency in Bellville and your commission shows it. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Bellville-based, with most of your time spent at a debt collection agency. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

The work, day to day

Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
Report daily on rands collected, contacts made and arrangements set.
Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.
Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.
Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.

You'll need

Matric
Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
Target-driven and comfortable with commission
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
Clear credit and criminal record
