Job Description

If you know tractors, a mixed crop farm near Epping has steady work for you. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is in Epping (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Record hours, fuel and fields worked on the job card
Plant rows straight, using GPS guidance where the tractor has it
Mix and apply sprays exactly as the farm manager prescribes
Clear firebreaks and grade farm roads when needed
Operate combine harvesters during harvest season

Must-haves

Safe driver who respects chemical and machine safety
Willing to work long hours in planting and harvest seasons
Basic understanding of implements and settings
At least 2 years driving tractors on a farm

Extra points for

Combine harvester experience
Experience with GPS guidance or auto-steer
Code 8 or Code 10 licence for road trips
