Job Description

Plumbing work that keeps Fourways homes and buildings running: this commercial building contractor needs a trade-tested plumber. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Fourways, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What you'll actually do

Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
Order fittings from the supplier and keep the van stocked
Trace hidden leaks using pressure tests and moisture readings
Replace burst geysers and fit vacuum breakers, drip trays and pressure control valves to SANS 10254
Issue plumbing Certificates of Compliance for completed installations

What you need

Fit enough to lift a 150-litre geyser with a helper and work in tight roof spaces
Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)
Able to talk politely to home owners about damage and costs
Code 08 licence and a clean driving record

Nice if you have

Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
