Job Description

Hard outdoor work on a low-cost housing development in Epping, with a chance to learn a trade while you earn. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a low-cost housing development in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
Erect and strip shutters and simple scaffolding under supervision
Cut and lay paving bricks along string lines
Mix concrete and mortar by hand or with a small mixer
Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
Compact soil and layer bedding sand with a plate compactor
Pass tools and materials to the plumber or electrician as needed

What you need

Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
Grade 8 or higher
Willing to start early, often at 06:30
A clean record is preferred for some government sites
Prepared to travel between sites in the area

Helpful, not essential

A working-at-heights or scaffolding ticket
Previous site work you can show with a reference
