Job Description

Strong, willing hands are wanted on a townhouse construction site in Germiston. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a townhouse construction site on the Germiston side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Clear rubble and load it into skips
Set up barriers, cones and signs around open trenches
Mix concrete and mortar by hand or with a small mixer
Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
Erect and strip shutters and simple scaffolding under supervision
Pass tools and materials to the plumber or electrician as needed

What you need

Prepared to travel between sites in the area
Grade 8 or higher
A clean record is preferred for some government sites
Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather

Extra points for

Boots, hard hat and overalls issued on site
