Job Description

Every wall and slab on this shopping centre renovation in Somerset West needs labourers, and the crew needs one more. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The work is in Somerset West, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What your day looks like

Dig trenches and foundations to the depth the foreman marks
Pass tools and materials to the plumber or electrician as needed
Set up barriers, cones and signs around open trenches
Clear rubble and load it into skips
Carry bricks, blocks and cement bags to where the bricklayers work
Cut and lay paving bricks along string lines

You'll need

Grade 8 or higher
Prepared to travel between sites in the area
Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
