Construction Health and Safety Agent

The high-rise residential project in East London needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The work is in East London, Eastern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment
• Audit subcontractor safety files before they start work
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Inspect scaffolds, excavations and edge protection daily
• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time

• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014
• You write clear reports in English
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
