Construction Health and Safety Agent

The high-rise residential project in Rustenburg needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Rustenburg (North West). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
• Inspect scaffolds, excavations and edge protection daily
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment

• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014
• You write clear reports in English
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites

• Diploma in Safety Management
• Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects
• ISO 45001 internal auditor course

• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD

• Put your SACPCMP registration number and category first. Many CVs without it are rejected without being read.
• Bring a sample risk assessment or safety file index you drew up (remove client names). It shows your work better than a list.
