Continuous Miner Operator (Coal) – Immediate Start

Big machines, long shifts, good pay: the underground platinum mine using trackless mobile machinery near Kimberley needs qualified operators. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at an underground platinum mine using trackless mobile machinery in Kimberley. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Drill blast holes to the plan depth and angle marked by the survey team
• Complete the pre-use inspection checklist for your trackless mobile machine
• Report defects and lock out the machine for the maintenance crew
• Load, haul and tip with the LHD from draw points to the ore pass
• Haul ore and waste on the haul road loop to the crusher or dump

• Clear understanding of the TMM regulations under Chapter 8 of the MHSA regulations
• Code 10 or Code 14 driver's licence
• At least 2 years operating the machine in a mining environment
• Certificate of fitness from a mine medical practitioner
• Valid operator certificate for the specific machine, from an MQA-accredited provider
• Able to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating day and night roster

• Machine training instructor experience
• Certificates on two or more machine types

• Put your operator certificate expiry dates on the CV. Expired tickets are the top reason operators get filtered out.
