Contract Cleaner (Corporate Building) – Immediate Start

You'll keep a government office building in Bloemfontein clean, stocked and fresh before the people arrive. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Bloemfontein (Free State). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Empty bins and take waste to the correct recycling or general skip
• Clean the kitchenette, wash cups and wipe down the fridge and microwave
• Set up and clear boardrooms before and after meetings
• Report broken fittings, leaks or empty stock to the site supervisor
• Wipe desks, door handles, lift buttons and light switches
• Mix cleaning chemicals at the dilution shown on the label, never by guesswork
• Run a scrubber-dryer machine on large tiled areas

• You take pride in a job done properly, even when nobody checks
• Able to start early, often 05:00 or 06:00
• Honest, because you work around laptops and personal items
• Able to stand, bend and walk for a full shift
• Clean criminal record for most corporate sites
• Grade 10 or higher

• Paid overtime for weekend deep cleans
• Permanent contract once the site contract is secured
• UIF and paid leave under the cleaning sector rules
• Uniform and cleaning gloves provided

• List each site you have cleaned (office, mall, school) and how long you stayed. Contractors want people who stick with a site.
• Arrive neat and early for the interview. It is a small test of how you will arrive for a 05:00 shift.
