Contract Cleaner (Corporate Building)

Early starts, clear routines and a steady contract at a government office building in George. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in George. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Clean glass doors and internal windows without streaks
• Clean the kitchenette, wash cups and wipe down the fridge and microwave
• Set up and clear boardrooms before and after meetings
• Report broken fittings, leaks or empty stock to the site supervisor
• Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors following the daily cleaning schedule
• Mix cleaning chemicals at the dilution shown on the label, never by guesswork
• Empty bins and take waste to the correct recycling or general skip

• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals safely with gloves
• Able to start early, often 05:00 or 06:00
• Honest, because you work around laptops and personal items
• Grade 10 or higher
• Able to stand, bend and walk for a full shift

• Uniform and cleaning gloves provided
• Permanent contract once the site contract is secured
• UIF and paid leave under the cleaning sector rules
• Paid overtime for weekend deep cleans

• List each site you have cleaned (office, mall, school) and how long you stayed. Contractors want people who stick with a site.
• Ask a former supervisor if you can put their number on your CV. Cleaning contractors almost always phone a reference.
