Contract Cleaner (Corporate Building)

You'll keep a government office building in Tembisa clean, stocked and fresh before the people arrive. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a government office building on the Tembisa side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Clean the kitchenette, wash cups and wipe down the fridge and microwave
• Mix cleaning chemicals at the dilution shown on the label, never by guesswork
• Set up and clear boardrooms before and after meetings
• Refill toilet paper, hand towel and soap dispensers
• Wipe desks, door handles, lift buttons and light switches
• Clean and disinfect toilets, basins and urinals several times a shift

• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals safely with gloves
• You take pride in a job done properly, even when nobody checks
• Grade 10 or higher
• Clean criminal record for most corporate sites
• Honest, because you work around laptops and personal items

• Permanent contract once the site contract is secured
• Paid overtime for weekend deep cleans
• Uniform and cleaning gloves provided

• Mention any machines you can use, like a scrubber or polisher. Machine cleaners are harder to find and often get picked first.
• Arrive neat and early for the interview. It is a small test of how you will arrive for a 05:00 shift.
