Job Description

Selling to companies takes patience; at this courier and freight company in Newcastle, big deals are worth the wait. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Newcastle-based, with most of your time spent at a courier and freight company.

What your day looks like

Respond to RFQs and tenders with complete supplier packs, including B-BBEE certificates.
Prospect new companies by phone, LinkedIn and walk-ins in business parks.
Book and run discovery meetings with buyers and procurement managers.
Log every lead, meeting and deal stage in the CRM.
Chase overdue accounts with the credit department before they grow.
Forecast monthly sales and report pipeline value each Monday.
Work with operations to hand over new clients smoothly.

Must-haves

Valid driver's licence and your own reliable car
Matric plus a sales, marketing or technical qualification
Confident with Excel, Outlook and a CRM
Resilient enough to handle long sales cycles and rejection
2 or more years of business-to-business sales with a proven record
Solid presentation and negotiation skills

Helpful, not essential

Tender and CSD registration experience
An existing network of buyers in your sector
Salesforce, Zoho or HubSpot CRM experience

On offer
