Cost Estimator (Shopfitting)

The property development company in Fourways needs a QS who can price a tender and still defend a final account. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Fourways, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs
• Update cash flow forecasts for the project manager
• Value variations and prepare claims under JBCC or GCC conditions
• Get quotes from subcontractors and compare them line by line
• Prepare the final account at the end of the project

• Code 08 licence for site visits
• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work
• At least 3 years of QS work in private practice or with a contractor

• Experience with civil bills using the SANS 1200 standard
• Estimating software experience on top of Excel
• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying

• Study support for an honours degree

• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
• Hybrid days in the office and on site
