Creditors Clerk (Manufacturing)

Recons that balance and suppliers who get paid right: that's the job at a motor dealership in Randburg. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The site is in Randburg; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Post month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Prepare VAT201 workings for the accountant to submit on SARS eFiling
• Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts on Sage or Xero
• Reconcile creditors statements and sort out differences with suppliers
• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
• Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation

• Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero
• Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
• Understanding of VAT input and output rules
• Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work

• Experience with inventory costing in a trading business
• Experience with debt collection letters and handover to attorneys

• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Office hours with no weekend work
• Paid study leave for bookkeeping exams
