Job Description

Questions come to you at a microlender in Ballito, and you answer them with data. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What you'll actually do

Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources
Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models

Must-haves

Advanced Excel
Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
Careful with sensitive customer data
Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs

Nice if you have

Python with pandas for data wrangling
Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification
Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
