Debtors Clerk (Credit Control) – Experienced

Recons that balance and suppliers who get paid right: that's the job at a family-owned manufacturer in Sandton. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll report in Sandton. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
• Keep the filing system in order for the annual audit or review
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
• Prepare VAT201 workings for the accountant to submit on SARS eFiling
• Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out
• Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts on Sage or Xero

• Matric with Accounting
• Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
• Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero
• Understanding of VAT input and output rules

• Knowledge of Sage Evolution or QuickBooks
• Experience with debt collection letters and handover to attorneys
• Experience with inventory costing in a trading business

• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Thirteenth cheque at many small firms
• Office hours with no weekend work
