Debtors Clerk (Radiology Practice)

At a busy general practice in Epping, your job is clean files, correct codes and money that comes in on time. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Epping-based, with most of your time spent at a busy general practice.

• Code consultations and procedures with ICD-10 and CCSA or NHRPL tariffs
• Open patient files and capture consent forms in line with POPIA
• Check medical aid membership and benefits before each consultation
• Submit claims electronically and work through the rejection report daily
• Request pre-authorisation for scans, procedures and admissions
• Send monthly statements and age the debtors book
• Answer the phones and send clinical questions to the right nurse or doctor

• Confident with Excel and email
• Experience on a practice system such as GoodX, Elixir, Medinol or Healthbridge
• You keep patient information private, every time
• Friendly on the phone and firm about outstanding accounts
• Matric

• Medical terminology or clinical coding certificate
• Worked for a specialist discipline such as radiology, anaesthesia or orthopaedics
• Experience with hospital case management and pre-auth

• Keep your cover note short and error-free; front desk jobs are judged on how neatly you communicate.
