Debtors Clerk (Radiology Practice) – Fixed-Term

At a medical billing bureau in Rosslyn, your job is clean files, correct codes and money that comes in on time. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Rosslyn. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Keep patient records locked and share them only with written consent
• Chase short payments with medical schemes and patients
• Request pre-authorisation for scans, procedures and admissions
• Send monthly statements and age the debtors book
• Submit claims electronically and work through the rejection report daily
• Answer the phones and send clinical questions to the right nurse or doctor
• Take payments, issue receipts and balance the cash-up at close

• Friendly on the phone and firm about outstanding accounts
• Sound knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical aid tariff codes
• Confident with Excel and email
• Experience on a practice system such as GoodX, Elixir, Medinol or Healthbridge
• You keep patient information private, every time
