Delivery Assistant (Furniture Trucks)

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a beverage depot in Bloemfontein wants. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The site is in Bloemfontein; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit

• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• No criminal record
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Uniform and safety shoes provided

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
