Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials) – Permanent

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a container unpacking yard in Atlantis wants. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Atlantis. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit

• No criminal record
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Basic furniture assembly skills
• Past work as a driver's assistant

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
