Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials) – Experienced

Delivery days start early in Brits, and a furniture retailer warehouse needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll report in Brits. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• No criminal record
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
