Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials)

You'll load and offload trucks at a container unpacking yard in eMalahleni so every delivery goes out full and correct. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at a container unpacking yard in eMalahleni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Past work as a driver's assistant
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
