Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials)

You'll load and offload trucks at a furniture retailer warehouse in Isando so every delivery goes out full and correct. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a furniture retailer warehouse on the Isando side of Gauteng.

• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• No criminal record
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
