Job Description

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this furniture retailer warehouse in Pretoria East, and you move the stock in between. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Pretoria East. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

Must-haves

Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

What's in it for you

Route-completion incentives in busy months
Uniform and safety shoes provided
Help to get your own licence through the company later

How to apply

Read the "What you need" list above. If you tick most of it, go ahead and apply.
Keep copies of these ready to send: police clearance if you already have one, CV noting any loading, moving or delivery work plus clear copy of your ID with a certification stamp.
Fill in the short form below with your name and a phone number you actually answer.
Keep your phone on. Shortlisted applicants are contacted by call, SMS or WhatsApp within 8 working days.

How2Apply recruits for this position on behalf of hiring employers around Pretoria East; applications go into our talent pool and shortlisted candidates are introduced directly.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

Before you hit apply

Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
