Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials)

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a container unpacking yard in Rosslyn wants. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Rosslyn, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop

• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• No criminal record

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
