Dispatch Controller (Distribution Depot) – Immediate Start

Get off the road and into the control office at a distribution depot in Coega. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The site is in Coega; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests

• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Matric

• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Previous truck driving experience
• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform

• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager
