DMS Plant Operator (Coal Washing)

Plant work suits people who watch the numbers and react fast. The iron ore beneficiation plant near Burgersfort needs you. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at an iron ore beneficiation plant in Burgersfort. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Adjust reagent dosing and air flow to hit recovery targets
• Clear blocked chutes safely under isolation
• Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks
• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report
• Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk
• Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
• Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards

• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science
• Comfortable around noise, dust and heights while wearing full PPE
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
• Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays

• Laboratory or sampling experience
• N4 to N6 or a diploma in Extraction Metallurgy
